Urgent Notice Regarding COVID-19

To combat the menace of novel coronavirus, COVID-19, social distancing is being practiced all over the world to retard and ultimately stop its spread. Vipassana Centers in Nepal are also taking steps in this direction. At centers where courses have not been cancelled at this time strict screening of students coming to attend courses is being done, checking their travel history, general health (by medical professionals) etc. The centers are also bound to follow the directives and advisories issued by the Nepal Government and the Immigration department (including the 14-day self or home quarantine after arrival in Nepal).
If you are applying or have applied to sit a course, we would like to ask you to introspect and decide whether it is absolutely necessary for you to sit a course now rather than later and whether your sitting a course now may risk other students health or your own health.

Students of age 65 and older (unless very healthy) and pregnant students are requested not to join courses now. The number of students admitted to courses will also be reduced to ensure that there is no crowding.

Additionally, in a compulsory situation where there is any notification or order from the local authorities, the courses may have to be cancelled at short notice or no notice, which please note.”
